The FA Cup delivered another night of drama and surprises as four teams secured places in the quarter-finals through contrasting performances across England.

At St. James’ Park, Manchester City came from behind to defeat Newcastle United 3–1. Newcastle struck first when Harvey Barnes curled home after a clever pass from Sandro Tonali.

City responded through Savinho, who bundled in an equaliser before half-time. After the break, Omar Marmoush took centre stage, scoring twice, including a stunning strike from outside the box, to send Pep Guardiola’s side into the last eight for the eighth consecutive season.

At Craven Cottage, Championship side Southampton produced late heartbreak for Fulham. Substitute Ross Stewart converted an injury-time penalty to seal a dramatic 1–0 victory and extend Southampton’s unbeaten run to 10 matches.

One of the biggest shocks came at Vale Park where Port Vale stunned Sunderland 1–0. Ben Waine scored the decisive first-half goal, looping a header over the goalkeeper to send the League One side into their first FA Cup quarter-final since 1954.

Meanwhile, Leeds United produced a comfortable 3–0 victory over Norwich City at Elland Road. Goals from Sean Longstaff, Gabriel Gudmundsson, and Joel Piroe ensured Leeds reached the FA Cup quarter-finals for the first time since 2003.

With giants advancing and underdogs still dreaming, this year’s FA Cup continues to live up to its reputation for unforgettable moments.
