Paris Saint-Germain produced a devastating attacking display to dismantle Bayer Leverkusen 7-2 at the BayArena, maintaining their perfect Champions League record under Luis Enrique.
The French champions struck early through Willian Pacho, who powered home a header from Nuno Mendes’ teasing cross in the seventh minute.
Leverkusen had a golden chance to respond when Illia Zabarnyi conceded a penalty, but Alejandro Grimaldo’s spot-kick hit the post.
Moments later, chaos unfolded, Leverkusen captain Robert Andrich was sent off for elbowing Desire Doue, before Zabarnyi himself received a red card for hauling down Christian Kofane in the box.
Aleix Garcia converted from the spot to make it 1-1, but PSG shifted into overdrive. Doue’s sharp finish restored the lead, Kvaratskhelia’s thunderous strike doubled it, and Doue curled in his second to make it 4-1 by halftime.
The second half began just as furiously. Vitinha slipped Mendes through to score PSG’s fifth, before Garcia’s long-range stunner gave the home crowd brief joy.
However, substitute Ousmane Dembele tapped in from close range minutes after coming on, and Vitinha sealed the rout with a calm finish late on.
Injury-hit PSG may be struggling domestically, but in Europe, they remain every bit the powerhouse, efficient, clinical, and utterly ruthless.
